This immersion combines Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra, encouraging a profound state of relaxation as well serving as a powerful tool for rewiring the mind. Traditional Yoga Nidra is a powerful technique in which you learn to relax consciously. During the practice, the student induces a state between sleep and wakefulness, where the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness. The focus of this practice includes profound relaxation of the nervous system, subconscious mind cleanse, and improved sleep. In this class, Yin Yoga serves as a tool to prepare the body and mind so the practitioner can reach a deeper level of relaxation during the Nidra phase. During this month’s practice, we will go deeper into the heart meridian, continuing to gently open the chest, shoulders, and upper back. This is a slow, meditative practice.
