I’d fallen completely in love with yoga and was blown away by what it made me feel. I’d recently started practicing at a really good yoga studio in Copenhagen, and going there from having practised only in a gym to a studio was a total game changer and both eye- and heart opener. I felt a deep pull to learn more about this practice that was making me feel SO good — not just physically, but about life. I was 29 and had started to feel like I should probably figure out what I wanted to do ”for real”in life. I’d spent my whole 20s working and traveling around the world. No studies, no university, none of the boxes ticked that you’re “supposed” to have when you’re getting closer to 30. I’d sometime wonder if I should’ve chosen differently. But something in me was shifting. My view on all of that started to change. Yoga was all I could think of. So I signed up for my first 200hr training in Bali. A few months later, together with Naza, we bought a one-way ticket, packed up, sold everything we owned, and left. Fast forward to 2025, and that ONE decision, to trust my gut and follow that longing - was the best decision I’ve ever made. Bali was the place where a whole new chapter began, where I grew out of the old version of me. I ended up living there for five years, and I never again questioned that the trajectory of my life had taken me exactly where I was meant to be. Needless to say, Bali has a very special place in my heart. Bali has a certain energy that’s hard to put into words, and the way the Balinese live their spirituality is contagious: how gratitude is woven into daily life, and how intention and beauty show up everywhere. I’d love to invite you to our annual Bali retreat with happening 10–16 February. It’s called Back Home ~ and for a reason.
