Yoga Life

Tony Lupinacci

Being immersed in the jungle of Bali gives me the chance to reflect and notice shifts in perspective. I’ve been journaling a lot and working with Elizabeth Gilbert’s @elizabeth_gilbert_writer letters from love. The prompt begins with dear love, what will you have me know today? I’ve often felt a yearning to seek something outside of myself to become whole or complete or even just to feel like I’m good. Often in the form of a relationship or professional or spiritual acclaim or sometimes some kind of internal moral prowess. Something that proves that I’m ok. These letters from love are helping me understand that god exists fully expressed inside of me (as me!) and the closer I can get to self acceptance and self appreciation the closer i can get to god and to love. My practice now is not only Befriending myself but revealing the source of inexhaustible unbounded love. I guess what I’m learning and trying to communicate is that we can interact with the god of our own choosing. There’s nothing to prove, or fix or change. Instead the practice toward love is the practice of welcoming the changes, the challenges, the joy and the bliss .
