Earlier today, my marketing and business coach Tad Hargrave of @marketingforhippies sent out a message that struck me deeply. He was talking about entrepreneurs and marketing, but I believe his message speaks just as strongly to facilitators and space-holders. He said: “Modern approaches to marketing are making the world uglier, not more beautiful… There’s a way to market that is trauma-informed, consent-based, conscience-driven, that deeply honours the dignity of everyone it comes into contact with, and by so doing reaffirms their own sense of worth. And I think this makes the world a more beautiful place to be.” When I listened to this, I thought: isn’t this also our work as facilitators?
