The word HOPE comes from the Latin: sperare. It’s a feeling that leads people to look to the future, considering it to bring better conditions than those offered by the present, in such a way that the struggle for life and suffering are faced as passing contingencies in the march towards a higher and more valuable goal. Hope is the act of waiting with confidence. I have noticed several men who are reluctant to follow their calling. In this case, they feel the call to go on retreat, but there is something holding them back, preventing them from hearing and feeling the voices and the buzz in their bodies that give us direction. In agreement with what my brother Jorge @mencircles said in a post I read this morning, this profound work and the discipline that leads us to work on ourselves is a gift that we give to those close and dear to us. Imagine how it makes us feel inside?! when, as well as filling us with happiness, peace and harmony we see smiles and love all around us. It took me a while to realise these calls, often because I lacked the confidence on myself to listen to them, because they have always existed inside. If I can do it, you can do it. I am because we are! You’re not alone! With all my love Miguel #menswork #menscircle #purpose #portugalretreats #sacredmasculine #brotherhood #hope #esperança
