The goal of practicing hatha yoga is to work the body, breath, and mind in a balanced and consistent way, making the practitioner more relaxed, stable, focused, and prepared to handle the tasks and responsibilities of daily life.

The practices are dynamic and intense, within the capabilities of each practitioner. The focus of these practices will be on coordinating movement with breath ( vinyāsa ) and on the orderly and progressive way of performing the various techniques ( krama ).
