The Chinese philosophy and prominent Religion Practice, Taoism is the foundation of the very powerful Taoist Meditation Practice (also known as the Daoist Meditation Practice). While the principles are similar to Buddhist meditation techniques, Taoist meditation masters lay stronger emphasis on energy flow within the body, breathing techniques, healing, and visualizations. The practice is one of the oldest, with its main text (the Tao Te Ching) dating back to 6th century B.C. The ancient meditation methods of Taoism uses insight or Emptiness meditation, Zhuanqiï, and Neiguan or the inner visualization as the three powerful underlying techniques. The Taoist meditation technique helps practitioners find inner peace, live in harmony with the Tao (nature), reduce stress, enjoy better health, and longevity.
